ASME & ISO Air Storage Systems increase the overall efficiency of a compressed breathing air system. A properly sized air storage system allows peak demands to be met quicker than just relying on the compressor output. Stored air can also be used to carry on operations in the event of compressor failure, loss of power to run a compressor, or in areas where compressors are not available. Two types of storage vessels, ASME and ISO, are available. ASME vessels are generally used for permanent installations since they have a greater safety factor and do not require periodic hydrotesting. ISO cylinders are usually better suited for applications involving the transport of breathing air.Storage systems are available in horizontal or vertical configurations and with bulk or cascade-type manifold piping.
